Branded work and outdoor footwear maker, LaCrosse Footwear Inc, has reported 30% profit increase for the third quarter of 2007.
Net income of the company increased to US3.3 million or US0.52 per share for the quarter ended September 29, 2007, an increase of 30%, compared to US2.5m or US0.41 per share in the same period last year.
Net sales increased 12% to US36.9m, as compared to 32.8m in the same period last year. Meanwhile, outdoor market revenues rose 7% to US21.8m.
Sales to the work market were US15.1m for the third quarter, an increase of 20%, as compared to 12.5 million for the same period last year.
According to president and CEO of LaCrosse, Joseph P Schneider, sales growth was driven by the new autumn product lines.
