The components sector participated in the Commercial Mission to Asia - promoted by Abicalados with support of APEX-Brazil - and it became the highlight in the first stage of the route: the Fashion Access fair, in Hong Kong in China.

The sandal created by the fashion designer Walter Rodrigues for the Fashion Rio, and developed through the project led by Assintecal, was among the finalists of the Best of APLF Awards, contest that selects the best products displayed in the fair.

"There are more than 600 exhibitors, and our material was very well placed in the juries' evaluation, one more time praising us for the work's recognition", evaluates Assintecal's superintendent, Ilse Biason Guimaraes.

The Brazilian design not only attracted attention to the finished products (footwear, bags and accessories). The components appealed to the audience, especially the ornaments and leather works.

"The materials with an ecological appeal had also an excellent repercussion, confirming a trend verified in stands of different countries", says Ilse.
