India : 13th ILGF to open new channels for leather trading

International Leather Goods Fair (ILGF) focuses on the opportunities for sourcing from India at the same time promoting the Indian leather industry.

The key objective of this fair is to bring all sectors of the domestic and global leather industry under one roof, facilitating networking opportunities, collaborations, updation on the latest trends, etc.

The 13th International Leather Goods Fair will be staged from 22nd to 24th February 2008 at the Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata, India.

The 12th edition of ILGF generated business worth Rs. 40 crore with spot order of Rs. 8 crore with 68 participants and 70 visitors from all over the globe including USA, UK, Canada, Germany, Italy, Poland, New Zealand, Spain, South Africa, France, Latvia, Russia, Argentina Azerbaijan, Cyprus and UAE.

Ranked as one of the largest international leather fairs held in India, the 13th International Leather Goods Fair is targeted towards breaking all previous records in terms of exhibitor and visitor participation.

India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), the premier trade trade promotion agency of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt of India, in association with Council for Leather Exports (CLE) and Indian Leather Products Association (ILPA), and supported by Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Department of Commerce & Industry, Govt of West Bengal, Freya ¨C the Design Development Training Institute, National Institute of Fashion & Technology (NIFT), Indian Leather Chemical Promotion Association, IFCOMA, and Bengal National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BNCCI), is the organizer of the gala fair.
